First Photo of Anthony Hopkins as Alfred Hitchcock!

Holy Hannibal Lecter, we hardly recognize ye!

Ladies and gentlemen, may I present Alfred Hitchcock! Okay, yes, there is something a little off with this photo and it’s because you’re looking at Anthony Hopkins, in full prosthetic makeup and suited up for his role portraying the legendary filmmaker in the upcoming Hitchcock.

The Fox Searchlight drama, which started shooting last week, revolves around the production of Hitchcock’s Psycho  (1960), and also stars Helen Mirren as his wife and Scarlett Johannson as Janet Leigh.

So is it yay or nay?  I think I’m going to reserve my opinion on what extent the above photo actually resembles Hitchcock until some more images emerge. But in either case, the makeup department should probably already be commended for their work in transforming Hopkins into someone that when we see him say, “That’s supposed to be Hitchcock right?”
